Winter Market Tomorrow!

A great way to start your Saturday, by shopping at your local farmers market! Bison products, honey products, apples, vegetables, baked goods, hickory nuts, jams, fresh and dried shiitake mushrooms, apple wood chips for grilling, kids crafts with Mary and face painting by Northern Lights!

Invite your friends and neighbors and bring items for the food shelf or better yet, buy it at the market!

1st Winter Market Date!

Our first Winter Market date will be Saturday, November 17th from 9 a.m.- 12 p.m. at the La Crescent Community Center, located at 336 S 1st. Watch for signs and balloons! We're so excited and it's a great time to catch up with the vendors and prepare for the upcoming Holidays!

Face Painting for the kids and have a cup of coffee on us!

Outdoor Market comes to an end for 2012

Sadly enough, the growing season is over, but keep in mind that we'll have 2 Winter market days, November 17th and December 8th!

These will be held indoors at the La Crescent Community Center, so mark them on your calendar now!

Hours will tentatively be 9 - 12.

It's been a great year at the market and with only 5 weeks left, you still have time to gather vegetables and fruits to enjoy. Join us for the remaining weeks to catch up with friends who have also enjoyed shopping our market. Thank you for your patronage and be sure to thank those vendors for their efforts!

Applefest/Oktoberfest Week at the Market!

Apples are game this week, along with Reuben sandwiches served with a side of German Potato Salad if you'd like!  Come and stock up on squash, apples, onions, garlic, honey, and more!
You'll also want to take a survey so that you have a chance to spend $50 at our market! Wow!!

School starts soon, but on Tuesday, September 4th, bring the kids to the market after school for free face painting by Northern Lights Face Painting!

Mushrooms and Applewood chips

This sounds like an odd combination- but, if you have never tried a winecap, shitake or oyster mushroom, you'd best make a trip to the market soon!

As for the applewood chips- great to use on the grill when cooking lots of things! Only in La Crescent!

It hardly seems possible that we've had 14 market days in 2012!
